Meetings

November 12, 2019

Tuesday, November 12th will be the Highlands Ranch Photo Club annual meeting and election. This is going to be a very important meeting. We will not only discuss future programs and have our annual election, but most importantly, discuss the very future of our club. Do the club members want to continue with this club, support future participation and growth? Are any members willing to step up to lead this club for the next year with a vision that will make the club worth continuing? If you care about the future of our photo club, please plan to attend and show your support.

We will meet at 7:00, upstairs in Event Hall B in the Highlands Ranch Library.

October 8, 2019

Our club member, Bob Pinkham, will be presenting about Milkyway photography at the October meeting.

Few people ever see the Milkyway during their lifetime and even fewer have photographed it.  If you live in Colorado and you own a Digital camera that has a manual mode, you can join those who have photographed the Milkyway.

At the October Highlands Ranch Photo Club meeting you’ll hear about techniques that will make it easier to capture the beauty of the night sky with information on When, Where, and How’s of capturing the Milkyway.  You will have to provide the why.

We will meet at 7:00, upstairs in Event Hall B in the Highlands Ranch Library.

We will be meeting in Event Hall B upstairs in the Highlands Ranch Library at 7:00, but you can start shooting photos in the park earlier, if you like. We will return to the meeting room at 7:30 and take turns sharing some of the photos that we took. I will bring a multi-card reader, so we can hopefully accommodate every kind of card. This activity is about trying to get a small number of quality photos, not a high number of rushed photos. There is no subject theme. If you need assistance with camera settings, someone will be able to help you.

November 13, 2018

The November meeting is our annual member meeting, where we hold our club elections, discuss monthly meeting topics and discuss what we would like to do for next year to improve and grow our club. Please plan on attending and providing your input. If you would like to become more involved in helping to run our club, we would be very appreciative of that offer. Since these meetings usually take most of our meeting time, no other presentation or photo sharing is planned.

This meeting will be in the Event Hall at the Lone Tree Library at 7pm.
